Founder and Director, Richard Watkinson set up the family-run estate agency in 1988 in Newark. Richard has more than 40 years’ experience in the East Midlands’ property market and is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
He has grown the business considerably over the last 30 years, creating a trustworthy and well regarded firm which operates from seven offices across Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire and Lincolnshire.
Richard’s specialisms cover residential valuations and sales. He also works alongside the commercial property team, having completed hundreds of deals across the region.
In his spare time, Richard drives a 40 year-old classic MG sports car which he races in the summer.
Kirsty has more than 20 years’ experience in the property industry, with more than half of this time spent at Richard Watkinson & Partners, the family business. She is a Director at the Newark office and provides agency and development advice for residential and commercial property, RICS Registered Valuer producing reports for secured lending, development appraisals, company accounting, CGT, IHT, probate, Charities Act and portfolio's. Working with private and public sector clients, developers and investors across Nottinghamshire.
Kirsty is MRICS qualified, with a degree in surveying from the College of Estate Management at Reading.
Kirsty is happiest surrounded by family and animals and enjoys British Eventing with her horse and mini support entourage.
Simon has 25 years’ experience at Richard Watkinson & Partners, having always had an interest in the property industry.
Having moved straight into the family business – following training at the College of Estate Management at Reading - Simon has a wealth of experience in the Nottinghamshire property market. Specialising in residential valuations, his work takes him across the county – valuing properties ranging from one bedroom terraced homes to six-figure estates.
Simon particularly enjoys the interesting people he’s able to meet as part of his work as an estate agent – it doesn’t often feel like work as clients are always friendly and engaged.
Sandra has much experience in sales and more than 12 years experience in the property industry. Having joined the Newark office in 2013, Sandra specialises in residential sales, taking clients all the way from their valuation appointment to booking viewings and obtaining feedback, to negotiating on offers then progressing the transaction to completion.
Outside of work, Sandra enjoys spending time with family and friends, has a passion for travel and is an athletics track judge volunteering at indoor and outdoor competitions throughout the Midlands. She admits she finds it very difficult not to get excited when meeting with Greg Rutherford, Mo Farah and Liz McColgan!
Tom joined Richard Watkinson & Partners’ Newark office in 2010 and has gone on to gain: a PropertyMark technical award in the sale of residential property; become a NAEA (National Association of Estate Agents) member as well as receive RAN (Relocation Agent Network) accreditation and is now an advanced relocation agent specialist.
Tom covers both residential and commercial sales and lettings – with RAN membership also enabling him to advise clients on moving into the area.
DIY projects are keeping Tom busy outside of the office, having recently bought his first house.
Liz began her career with Richard Watkinson & Partners when she moved to Newark in 2016. As secretary to three of the firm’s directors, Liz’s job role is varied as she handles report writing, administration of residential sales and general organisation of the office.
As a graduate surveyor, Liz has nine years’ experience in sales negotiation, so has a well-rounded understanding of the property industry.
Liz was also a competitive swimmer, competing regionally for 10 years.
